Prosecco Wine Area, a unique cultural landscape

Sunny hills, beautiful in every season. A charming location, where the renowned Prosecco is produced. The winegrowing landscape of Le Colline del Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene was inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2019.
It has been registered under the category of “cultural landscape”, since its mosaic appearance is the result of the interaction between humankind and its natural environment. The unique climate, the soil characteristics and the winemakers’ hand-crafted work made this region ideal for growing vines. It is characterised by steep ridges whose slopes vineyards, planted on narrow grassy terraces, cover almost completely. Winemakers have been cultivating grapes in this area for centuries, producing Prosecco: a white wine with fruity and floral fragrances, characterised by a bright straw yellow colour and a smooth and elegant taste.

“A man who drinks only water has a secret to hide.”

– Charles Baudelaire
